Jobs Diagnostics Guidelines
The Jobs Diagnostic approach in the World Bank was developed under IDA17 as a specific request from the Bank’s clients and IDA Deputies. A team in the Jobs Group developed standardized data analysis tools for; (a) economy-wide aggregate data, (b) individual worker data from household surveys, and (c) for firm-level data. These tools allow the user to answer a set of structured questions that were also designed to identify data “symptoms” as the foundation for the diagnostic approach.
