This layer shows the mountain ranges in the Caucasus region, which is an extract of the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment (GMBA) global mountain layer (http://www.earthenv.org/mountains). The Caucasus ecoregion boundary used in the SCAC project has been used to clip the global layer to the Caucasus extent. Reference to the global layer is made hereafter:
